Here's what's coming up this week:
Projects: We continue to work on our unit on the Great Depression. Students continue to add to their website project each week. We continue to learn about different aspects of the Great Depression such as the Dust Bowl, daily life, and the role of the government.
8th Writing: Students are finishing up their final drafts of their unassisted piece from the Nevada Department of Education narrative tasks. This week, we will concentrate on grammar and pre-writing strategies as well as choosing a writing piece from our journals to revise and edit into a final draft.

Reading: We continue to work on the unfolding of a story's plot and analyzing how a character changes or reacts throughout the story.
Reminders:
* Please remember to keep an eye out for the nightly reading log. Students can choose to summarize, make inferences, or even predictions. They must justify their inferences or predictions using evidence from the text.
