September 14th, 2017

Hello 6th grade families of room 18! Another great week of school is in the books. We are laughing and learning a lot.

Below please find some reminders and important dates:

Sept. 22nd, 2017, 6:00 p.m.,  is our Fallon Future Fest at the Fallon Convention Center. Please come show your support by buying tickets to attend our fundraiser. We are working towards getting scholarships and activities for our students. It is going to be a great event for a great cause.

Sept. 30th, 2017, 1:00 p.m., fundraiser for the Trease family at the Regional Soccer fields behind the indoor pool. Tickets cost $5 per person to play in the parents vs. kids soccer game. Your support is very much appreciated.

40 Book Challenge:
The 40 book challenge is well under way. I'm enjoying students' discussions about books and recommending books to each other to complete the challenge. If you want to participate from home, you are more than welcome to do so! If you would like to donate any children's books to our classroom library it would be very much appreciated. We are in need of informational books, chapter books of all genres, and even picture books. Stay tuned for updates on our progress.
